This multimedia project by the data desk of the Dutch newspaper ‘De Volkskrant’ combines open source data, on-the-ground reporting, dataviz and news photography.
The team uses the open source data bases UA losses to investigate the number of fallen soldiers in Ukraine. And the locations of the killings. A correspondent checks the stories of the local Lebedyn community, a town in East Ukraine. It is reflected in a well produced, multi-faceted multimedia project on the website of De Volskrant.
